Kesha’s “Tits Out Tour” Review
Published on July 14, 2025
Dear GayPHX Community,
Before we jump into today’s post, I want to extend my warmest THANK YOU to everyone who reads our posts, listens to our podcast, or engages with our content in any way. Being able to do something we love for a community we love is really a dream come true.
I’m fortunate enough to work alongside a few pretty amazing folks here at GayPHX, and it’s really all thanks to them that I’ve had this opportunity to bring you the words of wisdom and life experiences I’ve had the honor of writing about.
This week’s post is a little different. I was fortunate enough to score a ticket to Kesha’s show, known as “The Tits Out Tour,” last weekend at Talking Stick Resort Amphitheater. GayPHX made it possible for a large handful of folks to attend the show via a contest to win tickets, and I know that every single one of those lucky folks who scored had the time of their lives.
I did, too– and I hope that my words below convince you to snag a ticket next time she rolls into town.
Trust me, you’ll be very glad you did!

“Now the party don’t start ‘til I walk in.”
Ahh… the immortal musings of a then 22-year old Kesha. It’s likely you’ve heard the familiar song “TiK ToK” at least a minimum of five thousand times in your life– and trust me, you’re a better person for it. (Don’t deny it!)
On Sunday, July 6, fifteen years after the iconic song first lit up the charts, Kesha emerged to the sold-out and wildly energetic Talking Stick Resort Amphitheater before her to open her show with that same party anthem. Yet somehow, this time felt different.
Instead of Kesha leading us by the hand to the table to do shots, it felt instead as though she were leading us into the light– setting us free from all that no longer serves us and reminding us how beautiful we truly are.
Frequently throughout the night, bold and powerful words lit up the screens.
Liberation. Reclamation. Truth.
Early into the show, Kesha made her theme abundantly clear. This was a night of celebration. Dancing in the light as a woman forever changed by a journey filled with struggle, heartache, and uncertainty. Anyone who has followed Kesha’s journey in any capacity knows how hard the pop star has had to fight to be free.
More words lit up before our eyes.
Abuse. Neglect. Subjugation. Oppression.
This served as a reminder that not long ago, this magical night seemed impossible.
Since 2014, Kesha has played a very public game of back-and-forth in the courtroom with her former producer Dr. Luke– a man whom she accused of sexual, verbal, and physical assault. The allegations are disturbing, and (as is too often the case) legal proceedings and public perception of women who accuse men of heinous acts such as these tends to be on the colder side.
Despite every hurdle along the way, Kesha pushed through and on July 4, 2025, she reclaimed her independence by releasing her first studio album as a free woman.
FREEDOM.
Thus, The Tits Out tour, featuring a special opening appearance by Scissor Sisters, proved to be nothing short of a full-blown kiki– celebrating growth, love, and freedom at every turn. Music has always been a source of healing for me, and thus I’ve been to many concerts in my life. I can say honestly that I’ve never seen so many fans arrive early to ensure they didn’t miss the opening act.
Scissor Sisters instantly took hold of the energy and attention of the crowd and never once let go for the entirety of their forty-five minute set. Their glam-rock and disco inspired songs executed the perfect set-up for Kesha, who emerged in all white, holding a decapitated mannequin head that resembled her former persona from her earlier career days. This demonstration made it clear– it’s a new era for Kesha.
She never missed a beat. From the second we first saw her silhouette in the dark until the very last bow, Kesha danced harder than we’ve ever seen her do, sang every note completely live (and beautifully, too), and held up more hand hearts than I can recall. Her smile and energy could be felt all the way in the very last row, and the crowd returned every ounce of love in kind for the entirety of the almost two hour, career-spanning show.
There was one message that was never displayed on the screen, but I think that every person in attendance walked away from the show with it in their heart. It stems from her new song, “THE ONE.”
You are the one. You have always been the one. And you will always be the one.
When you look in the mirror, always remember that the love of your life is looking right back at you.
In a year in which our community has come under unprecedented attacks, and especially to a crowd filled with very young, vulnerable, and impressionable fans– well, I can’t honestly think of a better message to send…can you?
Until next time,
Stay strong.
Stay together.
Stay in the light.
