This weekend, the leather and kink communities came together in the heart of Phoenix to celebrate something truly powerful—brotherhood, connection, and the crowning of a new titleholder who represents it all.
The Mr. Anvil Phoenix 2025 Weekend, hosted by the Arizona Men of Leather (AML), brought clubs and kinksters from across the Valley to The Anvil for a celebration packed with fierce competition, unforgettable moments, and a whole lot of heart.
From the intensity of the interviews to the roar of the crowd on contest night, every moment was a reflection of how vibrant and unified Phoenix’s leather scene truly is. And when the final scores were tallied, Ben Calderon was named Mr. Anvil Phoenix 2025. He brought authenticity, confidence, and a clear passion for service—qualities we can’t wait to see shine during his title year.
It was also a milestone for us at GayPHX—this weekend marked the launch of our very first GayPHX Podcast episode. The weekend wrapped with The Anvil’s 15th Anniversary Victory Party, where we raised a glass to Ben and this incredible community. Thanks to AML, $1,500 in cash prizes were awarded during the celebration—ending the weekend with joy, generosity, and a packed house.
